Small Grants Fund
This fund is intended to support actions implemented by small organizations (see selection criteria) within the Foundation’s six intervention sectors :

– Water
– Sanitation
– Sustainable Agriculture
– Renewable Energies
– Eco-habitat
– Biodiversity Conservation

However, the Small Grants Fund Call for Proposals is no longer open to Sustainable Agriculture projects, because the Foundation already contributes to initiatives in this sector through its partnership with the “Promotion de l’Agriculture Familiale en Afrique de l’Ouest” Programme, established by the CFSI and Fondation de France.

With the Biodiversity Conservation sector, protecting animal species that are endangered (animal biodiversity Conservation) represents almost 50% of the Small Grants Fund.
Eligible implementation countries for the Small Grants Fund are :
– Only for endangered animal species conservation (animal biodiversity) initiatives : any country in the world, without restrictions;
– For initiatives within other intervention sectors, including other Biodiversity Conservation initiatives (flora, ecosystems) : Any country, except those having a “very high” Human Development Index (See at the bottom of the page the 2011 HDI ranking ).

More then 80 projects have already benefited from the Foundation’s support through the Small Grants Fund.
